Well, it's not really summer any more...in fact it's beginning to get quite chilly at night along the central coast, but whatever, that's another blog post!

So I'll just come out and say it: I am obsessed with major league baseball. Since.like.FOREVER!  I constantly check stats on my phone, I edit while listening to SportsCenter...it's a sickness, really.  Growing up, we were a painstakingly four hour drive from Turner Field where the Atlanta Braves play, but now that Mike and I live anywhere between 1 1/2 to 4 hours away (depending on the traffic!) from Dodgers Stadium, we make it a point to go to as many games as we can---which is basically whenever I'm in town!  You could even go as far to say that October is my favorite month...no, not because of the pretty fall leaves and pumpkin lattes, etc, but because of the postseason and world series!

I'm not quite sure why I love baseball so much.  I like to think that my Nana had something to do with it.  My Nana was an amazing woman (I could write an entire blog about her) and she just loved college basketball and major leage baseball.  I used to spend the night with her with I was little and I remember her pulling rocking chairs in front of the television so we could watch the Braves.  She was a HUGE Braves fan and it was much to her dismay when I started pulling for the Yankees (Joe Torre y'all, enough said!).  Nana used to tell me stories about when she was a little girl and would listen to the Boston Braves on the radio (no TV's!).  Pretty cool story  :)

This past weekend was the last of the regular season games and we went down to LA to see them play one last for this year (can you see my tears of sorrow on your computer screen?!)  All I have to say is that if the Dodgers go to the World Series I am SO.THERE.  I'm not sure what I will pawn off to buy tickets, but I'll find something ;)

Here are a few pictures from this past weekend...we had such a great time...seriously, is there anything better than a good ball game and some greasy food? :)

I remember when Rafael Furcal was a rookie with the Braves...wow, I feel old for knowing that!

Also, I cannot believe that this is my 100th blog post!!!!!  How exciting!  I didn't even realize it until my last blog post, when it reminded me that I was at 99 posts.  This little blog has come a long way since February when Into The Darkroom launched it for me (thanks, guys!).  Several readers of my blog are photographers and I just wanted to take a quick second and mention how awesome ITDR is.  If you're in the market for a new photo blog they have stellar customer service and their designs, well, they just rock!

I want to thank everyone for reading along this far and I hope that you will continue following my journey as a photographer for the next 100 posts!  :)  I think I'm going to go celebrate with a cupcake!

Happy Monday!!!

..."yes, i'm gonna be a star."  OK, if you don't know who sings this song, then well, I really don't know what to say!  I love The Beatles, but I love classic cars even more :)

I've pretty much been obsessed with muscle cars ever since I can remember...in fact, obsessed doesn't even begin to quite describe the fascination.  I guess I can blame it all on my dad who used to work at City Chevrolet when I was a little girl.  In my opinion his job had ultimate perks, such as bringing new cars by the house every once in awhile: taking Heidi and I for a spin in a convertible Camaro, one time bringing home a new sedan that had a TV in it...we thought we were so cool riding up to Krispy Kreme on a Friday night on Central Avenue.  And then there was the year that I received the *coolest* Christmas gift ever: a pink, convertible barbie Corvette. I kinda still wish I had that thing!

Shortly after all these awesome memories were created, new memories were in motion as we moved out towards the suburbs and closer to Lowe's Motor Speedway where the Auto Fair is held twice a year.  I have always looked forward to the car show...mom would lather on the sunscreen and we would be off, walking the length of the track checking out old camaros, corvettes, chevelles, impalas, thunderbirds and the like.  Sometimes we would venture into the infield where hot dog vendors were set up and coveted car parts were sold...it was an all day event and we would come home tired, sweaty and sunburned, but it was so worth it.  I can remember skipping a few high school classes (yes, my mom knew about it...isn't she so cool?!) to go on Fridays (the best day to go, in my opinion) and blowing off other events to check out the car show on Saturday mornings.

A few weekends ago I was in Charlotte for a children's portrait event (more on that later!) and I made sure that Dad and I got to go.  I haven't been in a few years so it was so awesome to be able to go again.  I have this list...a list of things to do before I turn the big 30 and one of the many "things" on my list is to show up at the auto fair with a fair sum of cash and purchase a mint condition 1969 Camaro-marina blue with white racing stripes...or maybe a 1963 Red Corvette Sting Ray or you know, maybe a 1966 black Chevelle.  I'd be happy with any of them.

And as always, thanks for taking me Dad...it wouldn't be the same without you.

All of these shots were captured with my point and shoot:

Our vacation is almost over (booo) but I'm excited to get back to my baby (my dog, Bear, of course!) and get back to work (I know, I'm such a loser ;) ).  Just wanted to post a few more images from our trip!

I gotta say, you know you've been lazy when the hardest thing you've done all week is to find a graceful way out of the hammock!

We woke up with the sunrise yesterday morning to go swimming with sharks (more on that later!) and isn't it just so gorgeous?!

A few shells we found while snorkeling...

Anndd how awesome are these little bags?  My sisters gave me one as part of my birthday gift and I love this little sucker!  It's called an Envirosax and it rolls up into this teeny, tiny little 3 inch roll.  Mike and I packed it for our trip and have used it as our beach bag, picking up sea shells bag, carrying snorkel gear bag and can we say snack bag?!  I LOVE this thing!  When at home, we use it at the farmer's market, etc, etc...I'm so about to get another one because they all have these cute different patterns :)

I was so flippin' excited when my brand new hipslip made it in time before our trip!  Since I travel so much, I'm always looking for the *best* way to transport gear, laptops etc and I was really annoyed by my old laptop bag.  The creators of Shootsac just came out with the brand new hipslip which I just love, love, love!  It was so easy going through the whole process of security and customs internationally...so thrilled to have this bag...isn't it the packaging so cute? not to mention the bag itself :)

Also, how cool is it that lululemon is getting a kids line!?  So awesome!

OK, so this post turned into more of a "my favorite things" deal, but that's ok!  I have been avoiding packing much to Mike's dismay and have been finding ways to procrastinate, such as doing a random photo shoot of my favorite objects in our room!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day...happy Tuesday!
