You know when a character in a sitcom has a dream and the dreamy music starts to play and then the screen gets all fuzzy and it takes you to another scene back in time?  Imagine this, except the character in the scene is me and it's about 10 years ago.  I'm a teenager....I'm obsessed with N'Sync (hey, it was the nineties...ok?) and I don't even have my driver's permit yet.  A car passes by on the street and female, adolescent shrieking voice can be heard for miles around...No, it's not N'Sync, it's a Corvette!!!

I cannot count how many times I've startled my parents while they were driving, as I scream out "OMGosh, Mom, Dad did you see that corvette!?!?" I begin naming all the specs, as if that will increase my chances of receiving one as a birthday gift... "It was red, tan leather interior, it wasn't a Z06 but I would settle for it."  Some found the Corvette/Camaro/Old muscle car hysteria induced with shrieking, gasping and hyperventilating cute, funny or annoying, but I have always been obsessed with Chevy's, ever since I was four.  Yes, four years old.  I can pick an exact age because I have a photo of myself driving my pink barbie corvette around after Christmas one year.  Even then I knew I needed at least eight cylinders.

OK, so now you can think of the present time....Every once in awhile I take Mike lunch at work and one day, as I cruise into the employee parking lot I gasp, shriek, struggle for air and cause Bear to panic....but, oh, it was so glorious what I saw in the parking lot: not one, but two corvettes!  As Mike walks out, I'm hanging my head out the window, "OMGosh who drives the silver one?"  "OMGosh I love it!" "OMGosh, do you think the owner would let me sit in it?"  (Mike still hasn't taken me to any of his work functions and I'm really not sure why...anyway, back to the important part...).  Mike tells me to tuck my jaw back and stop drooling.  "Oh, that's Charles' corvette," he says..."Charles?!" I scream "Who is Charles"?? "Would Charles like me to bring him lunch?"  And Mike walks off as if he doesn't know who I am...

The day finally came...I got to meet Charles and Natalie...I haven't met the Corvette yet, but I got to meet something way cooler than a car:

That's right....we did a shoot at the AIRPORT!  How cool is that?!?!?  Charles is also a flight instructor so I thought it would be kinda neat to do a shoot of Charles and Natalie with a plane  :)

Charles did ride a pretty cool bike to the shoot:

Hey there party people!! I've been meaning to throw up a blog post in the past few days, but things have been pretty wild out here in the west.  Unfortunately, a wildfire started in Santa Barbara on Tuesday, in the early afternoon.  We've been keeping an eye on it and praying for all those who have been displaced...if anyone needs a place to sleep, we have an extra bed!!!

In the meantime, enjoy these cute images of Dan and Caroline.  Caroline is originally from Belgium and moved here with her family as a teenager and she pronouces her name: Caro-lyn.  Beautiful!  Dan is originally from Boston, yes that's right...Boston!  He possesses that iconic Boston accent and Mike and I just love it  :)  When we first moved to Santa Barbara, we frantically searched for an awesome place to live and we were relieved when we found a great neighborhood only 2 days after arriving.  We flew in on a Monday and moved in Thursday morning....as we were moving in we heard "Ay, you guys need some help?"  We quickly became friends with Dan and Caroline, who just so happened to live 2 doors down!  We have become so close with this awesome couple and their gorgeous husky, Moonie (who Bear tries to  play hard to get with, but Moonie won't have any of it!).

The past few months have been spent sharing great meals and long conversations with Dan and Caroline and I am so excited and happy for them and I can't wait to go to their wedding in June 2010!!!  :)  Dan and Caroline also happen to be INSANE runners, no wait, marathoners,  no, actually I think they used to participate in the original Olympics and kick butt because these guys are super fast runners (I have yet to tell them my running times) annndddd they have BOTH qualified for the BOSTON MARATHON!!!  How awesome is that?!?  I had no idea we were living next door to the Lance Armstrong's of running  :)

Dan and Caroline, I am so blessed that I met both of you and I have enjoyed our friendship here in Santa Barbara more than you know!!! xoxo!

Isn't she gorgeous!?!?
