Last week I did a really fun shoot on a private ranch in Santa Ynez....Fred lives on the ranch and is completely, 100% a real cowboy...like the kind that catches cobras and lets them loose in mice-infested barns (umm, seriously!!).  When Anna suggested doing the shoot at the ranch, amongst the horses, I was all "Awesome!"  I love when clients suggest locations for shoots because they always pick somewhere uber cool and meaningful to them  :)  Thanks Anna and I hope you had a FABulous time in Vegas!

Here is a super cute session I've been meaning to blog---we did the shoot at the Santa Barbara Court House which is probably one of the prettiest courthouses I've ever seen!

I'm actually on my way back to Santa Barbara from Charlotte today, so I'll be returning emails tomorrow  :)  Both my sisters had lovely baby showers and I can't wait to meet my stylish little nieces in a few months!!!!!  I had so much fun playing with my sisters new canon camera---thinking of buying more equipment soon...and I am hoping, emphasize hoping to blog about their showers, but I have to get an "approved" list of photographs from the pregnant duo before doing so!  Either way, know that they are two of the cutest prego gals I've ever seen  :o)

Good grief I cannot believe it's June already....June 1 to be exact.  Which means....my birthday is one month away!  I'm reminding all my family and friends, so they have plenty of time to pick out a gift  ;)  (Mike, did you find my list on the counter this morning and in the bathroom and the one attached to your bicycle?!?).

Well, anyways, I have a super busy week before I fly to Charlotte for a few baby showers....BOTH my sisters are prego AT.THE.SAME.TIME!  How fun is that?!?  While I'm busy GTD (getting things done, people!) I'm posting this amazing sneak peek of a shoot from last night....all I can say about this session is WOW!

Anddd, tomorrow I'm attending the ever fabulous Jasmine Star Workshop down in OC, so I'll try to throw a post up before I leave at the crack of dawn to beat the LA traffic....BRING IT LOS ANGELES!!

Ok, so here's the delicious little sneak peek..this is all you get...yup, just one photo!  So be sure to check back later for the rest! :)

Happy Monday!

You know when a character in a sitcom has a dream and the dreamy music starts to play and then the screen gets all fuzzy and it takes you to another scene back in time?  Imagine this, except the character in the scene is me and it's about 10 years ago.  I'm a teenager....I'm obsessed with N'Sync (hey, it was the nineties...ok?) and I don't even have my driver's permit yet.  A car passes by on the street and female, adolescent shrieking voice can be heard for miles around...No, it's not N'Sync, it's a Corvette!!!

I cannot count how many times I've startled my parents while they were driving, as I scream out "OMGosh, Mom, Dad did you see that corvette!?!?" I begin naming all the specs, as if that will increase my chances of receiving one as a birthday gift... "It was red, tan leather interior, it wasn't a Z06 but I would settle for it."  Some found the Corvette/Camaro/Old muscle car hysteria induced with shrieking, gasping and hyperventilating cute, funny or annoying, but I have always been obsessed with Chevy's, ever since I was four.  Yes, four years old.  I can pick an exact age because I have a photo of myself driving my pink barbie corvette around after Christmas one year.  Even then I knew I needed at least eight cylinders.

OK, so now you can think of the present time....Every once in awhile I take Mike lunch at work and one day, as I cruise into the employee parking lot I gasp, shriek, struggle for air and cause Bear to panic....but, oh, it was so glorious what I saw in the parking lot: not one, but two corvettes!  As Mike walks out, I'm hanging my head out the window, "OMGosh who drives the silver one?"  "OMGosh I love it!" "OMGosh, do you think the owner would let me sit in it?"  (Mike still hasn't taken me to any of his work functions and I'm really not sure why...anyway, back to the important part...).  Mike tells me to tuck my jaw back and stop drooling.  "Oh, that's Charles' corvette," he says..."Charles?!" I scream "Who is Charles"?? "Would Charles like me to bring him lunch?"  And Mike walks off as if he doesn't know who I am...

The day finally came...I got to meet Charles and Natalie...I haven't met the Corvette yet, but I got to meet something way cooler than a car:

IMG_9736.jpg

That's right....we did a shoot at the AIRPORT!  How cool is that?!?!?  Charles is also a flight instructor so I thought it would be kinda neat to do a shoot of Charles and Natalie with a plane  :)

IMG_9731.jpg

Charles did ride a pretty cool bike to the shoot:

Charles and Natalie are all kinds of fun!

An engineer and an interior designer...two pretty cool jobs!  :)
