It's still raining here in SoCal and I'm fighting to stay awake! I am briefly reminded of times that it rained while I was in college and I would promptly roll back over and tell myself that it was too dangerous to walk to class on those slippery bricks...I was a stellar student, I swear! :) In my fight to stay awake this afternoon I remembered that I casually mentioned my trip to Charlotte for a portrait event but never blogged it!

About a month ago I participated in the 7th Annual Charlotte Mommies Birthday Bash...Charlotte Mommies is a popular and useful resource for well, mommies in Charlotte! I was pumped to be there and met tons of cool parents and cute kids. I also have a few more details mentioned on my children's blog.
A few shots of my table from my point and shoot (oh and mad props to Characters Bar in Monterey for keeping our camera waiting for us after Mike and I accidentally left it there one night after excitedly watching the Angels beat down on the Red Sox):

Happy Hump Day! Stay dry and drive safe SoCal folks!

I am blushing! Michelle from Sage Wedding Pros (my FAVE industry blog!) featured an interview with me on her blog :) I am so honored! Thanks Michelle! I have mentioned Michelle's blog before in one of my resource room posts because it truly is my favorite industry blog for all wedding professionals...Sage Wedding Pros always offers insightful interviews, organizing tips (you know my OCD self loves these) and probably the most beneficial tip I've learned from her blog is her business plan tips (every business owner needs to know this!).

My good friend Michelle from our SBFE group is the founder, publisher and editor-in-chief of HipCompass (a really cool travel blog) and HipCompass Escapes (an online travel magazine) and the latest issue is about "Spirits of America."
HipCompass Escapes is an awesome and unique magazine featuring tons of new places to see and visit-not your usual travel advice and pictures. I had the extreme honor of photographing Gypsy Canyon, which debuted as one of the "Spirits of America." It was amazing to visit Gypsy Canyon because of it's one-of-a-kind historical vineyard and the types of grapes used and wines that the owner, Deborah, creates...but I don't want to give too much away---be sure to CLICK HERE to get a copy for yourself and read about it :)

Thanks Michelle!!

Happy Friday!!

Hi All! Just wanted to blog quickly about my article that was published at PPA online. I wrote the article for Greener Photography---they are a great organization dedicated to providing eco-friendly resources to the industry!

Take a peek below at the screen shot of my article or CLICK HERE to check it out...please pass it around by clicking "send to friend" at the bottom of my post. Also, be sure to check out the Professional Photographer's of America (PPA) website. I am a member love my membership...I cannot say enough good things about their organization :)

And here's another picture of Jackson from his big California adventure...now doesn't this just make you want to go jump on your bed? I would but my mom might get upset! ;)

Be sure to check back tomorrow (Thursday) for another delicious dose of The Resource Room (and I need blog readers to vote on something for me---tune in tomorrow to find out)
