A few months ago I had the pleasure of second shooting with Becker from Orange County and Larry Reeves who is in Arizona. The wedding took place on the beach in Malibu with the reception following at The Sunset Restaurant. It was awesome to meet Becker for the first time--thanks for inviting me to come along and shoot with you!

Enjoy!

Happy Thursday everyone! And happy Resource Room day ;) Between traveling and feeling a tad under the weather, the 'ole blog has felt neglected but I thought this fun website, Once Wed, would make the blog feel like new again. I browsed this site earlier and fell in love with all the DIY ideas...go take a peek!

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of second shooting with Leah Lund from NY...this was such a gorgeous wedding with an intimate ceremony. Thom and Jenn were so much fun to be around and this was evident not only through their personalities but through the fact that all their guests flew in from all over the country to witness their marriage.

Their wedding took place at the Canary Hotel in Santa Barbara on the rooftop and it was a super warm beautiful fall day...
Jenn's wedding dress was designed and created by her grandmother!

The Canary Hotel has so many awesome details...

Now I want to throw a party...hmm, maybe I could throw a Thanksgiving party or a "I'm having my wisdom teeth taken out, please bring ice cream" party ;)

Hi everyone! I haven't been blogging for a few days because my parents were in town visiting! Sadly, Mike and I dropped them off at the airport yesterday morning at dark o'thirty, but I'm sorting through our pictures from the fun weekend and I'll be in Charlotte next weekend for mini sessions so it won't be long til I see them again :)

As I am viewing our images from our quick trip to Monterey and Pebble Beach, I realized that this past weekend was my fifth time up there in the past 2 months...can we say I'm a bit obsessed with Monterey!?
After my parents flew in on Wednesday I showed them all the awesome spots of Santa Barbara on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday and then we ate a delicious dinner at Trattoria Grappolo in Santa Ynez. After that we took off for Monterey, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach and Carmel. Friday was spent checking out the sites and drooling over the Pebble Beach links :) On Saturday we hit up our favorite wineries on Foxen Canyon Trail, like Riverbench, Foxen and Demetria and then we finished that day off with a bite to eat at Cold Springs Tavern--so basically Mike and I had a mini vacation and now it's back to reality!
Mike's go-go-gadget arms always come in handy for group pictures :)

There are tons of seals near our house and in Monterey (which is where this image was taken) and I finally was able to show my mom...

More seals!

Before anyone assumes that I did this (too bad I can't take credit for it, but if you know me at all, then you know my pumpkin carving skills are pretty lame!) we found this in the Pebble Beach Pro Shop...

The famous 18th green:

SOOO glad y'all came out Mom and Dad! See you next weekend :)
